A: Car leasing is equivalent to a "full service car rental" on a long term basis. Therefore, instead of buying a car outright, leasing will reduce the car user's commitment and enhance cash flow control. The leasing company will take care of the licensing,
insurance and maintenance, ensuring that the car is operating in good order at all
times. This means the car user only needs to look after the monthly rental payments, the cost of petrol and parking.

Q: Is Car Leasing & Rental expensive in
Hong Kong? Can I get a car that meets with my budget?

A: Hawk Rent A Car provides a wide range of vehicles. Prices start from a few thousand dollars a month
(HK$) for long term leasing
or a few hundred dollars a day for short term rentals. Generally, leasing brand new or luxury cars will cost more, whilst leasing or renting more basic car models, and for a longer rental period, significantly reduces the rental rates.

Q: What are my liabilities with car leasing/rental insurance?
|

A: Hawk's motor insurance includes coverage of HK$2 million for third party damage, HK$100 million for third party death or bodily injury.
The coverage for the loss of the vehicle by fire or theft is at 90% of the value of the vehicle.
With the provision of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)* available only from Hawk Rent A Car, the hirer is protected against paying any insurance deductibles in excess of
HK$5000
for any collision damage to the vehicle save when damage is sustained through the gross negligence of the hirer. Then the motor insurance deductible is effected as follows: Damage to the vehicle: up to
HK$8000 for CDAR cars, up to HK$10000 for IDAR cars, up to HK$12000 for
SDAR cars, up to HK$15000 for PVAR cars, up to HK$20000 for LDAR cars.

Q: What are the payment terms?

A: A vehicle security deposit (refundable), a minimum of HK$8000 for short term rental, or equal to two months rental payments for long term leasing is applicable. The deposit will be required before the delivery of the car and the rental payment is to be paid prior to the commencement of each rental unit.
